Every Story Matters....

From the forgotten to the trending, the timeless to the new, storytelling shapes how we see the world. It forges emotional connections, preserves evolving cultural identities, and offers a powerful way to capture, reflect, and challenge the societies we live in.

Our journey began in 2014 with Digitalback Books, a virtual library curating deliciously diverse stories from across Africa and beyond. With the recent launch of DAS Editions, our mission remains unchanged: to preserve the legacies of canonical African writers while amplifying contemporary narratives at the intersection of Africa and Europe.

By juxtaposing these two strands, we want to facilitate a dialogue between past and present, the continent and the diaspora, inviting readers and scholars alike to Discover Africa’s Stories™ as a continuous narrative across time and space.
